Most commonly we think of page content as the text and graphics viewable on public web pages. While this is true, it is so much more. Page content is the user interface (UI) that provides a visitor's user experience. In short, the axiom, “Content is King” rings true!
On many web sites the pages are static and created in HTML or XHTML. On more robust sites pages are dynamic. For dynamic sites, page content is populated with objects called from a database via a scripting language such as AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript), Perl, PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
Online applications have public as well as non-public administration and web site management pages. Below is a list of commonly implemented elements and online applications. Please contact us for information on the availability of any applications not mentioned or for custom development to merge any of these with ones already installed.
Web 2.0 is interactive content. Web 2.0 features offer an ability to build profiles; most offer Content Management System (CMS) applications to enable user generated content.
As Web 2.0, interactive content, grows, web sites that offer comments on blogs, forums, and wikis find an increasing percentage of their traffic originates from referrals and backlinks. Increasing both traffic and the rate of participation in success events by including applications such as these to invite participation is integral to achieving a better Return on Investment (ROI).

Web 3.0 Semantic Content
Web 3.0 is very much in it's infancy. At present there are few applications available. A basic understanding is that it will provide a common framework allowing data to be shared and reused across application, enterprise, and community boundaries, bringing semantic capabilities to Web 2.0 social media interactions.
Most CMS will enable building profiles, user created content, and feed options for those profiles. For instance, many Web 3.0 sites will offer the ability to save search results and to enable levels of permissions for one's “friends” (or contacts). With different levels of permissions one will be able to specify with whom one wants to share. Depending on what preferences a visitor may enable, one visitor's user experience may be completely different from another's even on the same web site.
Browsers will, in effect, become web application interfaces. This, coupled with the precipitous drop in online storage costs, is creating an environment where most of our applications and storage will reside online, enabling access from anywhere. Local storage will become the backup rather than the other way around.

Web Design Services Suite
All PageRank-SEO web designs are compliant with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines and are delivered with a W3C XHTML validation icon and link. Further, PageRank-SEO tests all designs in 13 different browsers versions across the Mac OS X & and both Windows Vista and XP operating systems. For a full list of web browsers and OS or to request any addition tests or validations, please inquire.
By default all the templates offered are custom liquid layouts. A liquid layout enables the content to flow when the size of the browser window is changed. It is, however, a matter of preference. All templates can be implemented in a fixed width.

While it is true all web use is growing, the two segments growing the fastest are home theater and mobile. This presents design issues. The displays for home theater usage, most commonly, streaming video or multi-media, are becoming increasingly larger. The question is that if a site is originally designed to be viewed on a 15" monitor and is fixed width @ 800 pixels, how will it display on a 30" monitor @ 2560 pixels? Will it be a narrow band down the center of the screen or if left–justified, a band down the left–hand edge of the screen?
Conversely, as the mobile web grows in leaps and bounds, what are the issues in designing a web experience for a 320 (most current generation Blackberries) or 480 (Apple's iphone) pixel wide screen? Currently, only 1/1,000th of all web sites have been specifically designed for the mobile web. In most instances sites are “shoehorned” to fit, which results in a lot of scrolling.

To give some perspective, while world–wide only 1% of all mobile devices are smart phones that include internet browsers, there are more cell phones than TV's and computers combined; in all, over 3.5 billion cell phones. Obviously, even a fraction of a percentage point increase in the number of smart phones represents an incredible increase in potential users. Even if a business's primary marketplace is a brick & mortar retail store, think of the increase in users of Google maps to find your store's location.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Services Suite
Achieve better placement on organic Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) through Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
By applying an SEO solution one's looking to achieve a higher Google PageRank (Yahoo!'s term is WebRank) and to raise one's web site's placement on the SERPs for the long–tail keyword phrases for which one's site is optimized.
SEO goals are framed by the 11 tags and attributes on which Google runs algorithms to rate a web site. To maximize standing on SERPs, long–tail keyword phrases with high Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) values need to be placed appropriately in alt & title tags, description & keywords meta tags, file & folder names, links, and the Title, as well as integrated throughout the page content.
PageRank-SEO provides an array of SEO services. The SEO Service Suite opens with Gap Analysis Studies to provide a foundation for where a company is relative to the competition. There are Gap Analysis Studies available for both organic SEO and Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns.
Once a baseline is established PageRank-SEO provides solutions through SEO research and implementation. SEO research options include Keyword Density Reports (KDRs) and Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) value ratings. Implementation options include Meta Tag Optimization, integrating the SEO research into page content, Pay Per Click Campaign Management, Sitemap Creation & Submission, and URL Submission.
A large part on any SEO endeavor, of course, is to track progress. To measure progress, track your site's climb on organic SERP listings for the long–tail keyword phrase's for which the site's been optimized. This is often best facilitated by purchasing a monthly monitoring service.

The Web Analytics Service Suite provides reports from Google Analytics (or any other web analytics package). A prerequisite, of course, is to have installed a web analytics package. If one has yet to do so, PageRank-SEO does provide that service.
Once a web analytics report is installed, PageRank-SEO offers an array of monitoring services. Reports can be viewed online in HTML or emailed as Excel docs. Analysis of these reports is integral to SEO research and facilitates a greater understanding of how to best optimize for favorable placement on Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).
